Annual Faculty Writers' "Pre-Treat" (In Person)
Join us for a "pre-treat" before we gather at Cool Spring for the annual retreat days in May!
We invite you to discover planning strategies for getting into a summer writing routine. We will also spend time writing quietly with our friendly and encouraging colleagues. We hope to spark inspiration and help you achieve your goals!
Writers from all disciplines and at any stage in their writing projects are encouraged to apply. You do not need to attend the annual retreat to take part in this event.
Lunch and snacks will be provided.

11:15 am - 12:00pm | "Where Does the (Summer)Time Go?" Make a Plan for Reclaiming Time for Thinking, Reading, and Writing
Description: Following a brief overview of planning tools and strategies for scheduling summer writing time, we'll write on our own.
12 - 12:30pm | Lunch
12:30 - 1:15pm | "Plan Your Cool Spring Retreat with Guided Exercises and a Writing Agenda"
Description: Following a brief overview of planning tools and strategies for structuring a one-day retreat, we'll write on our own.
1:15 - 1:30pm | Check Out / Next Steps
Goals
Writers will:
- create a writing schedule for the summer months
- create a writing agenda for their time at the Cool Spring retreat, if applicable
- write in the company of colleagues in a supportive space
