In April 2021, University Press of Florida will release Slavery and Freedom in the Shenandoah Valley During the Civil War Era, the fourteenth book authored or edited by director of Shenandoah University’s McCormick Civil War History, Prof. Jonathan A. Noyalas. During this lunch and learn Noyalas will share, for those interested in learning more about book publishing, some of the lessons he learned while working on this project. Additionally, for those interested in the history of race, slavery, memory, and commemoration, Noyalas will offer reflections on how his findings apply to the present.
